 Mr. Barroca began his career at an early age working in a variety of construction fields which included surveying, architecture, concrete, masonry, electrical, carpentry, construction and demolition.
Due to an extensive family involvement in a multitude of construction trades, Mr. Barroca approaches design tasks from a "hands on" approach.
Having worked as a design engineer/project manager for the past 29 years, Mr. Barroca has been quite fortunate in that his professional employment has encompassed many civil engineering disciplines. He has experience in drainage, hydraulics, water, sewer, site planning, structural and building construction.
His hydraulic, road, sewer and drainage experience includes projects for Nassau County Department of Public Works, City of Glen Cove, Town of Oyster Bay, Town of North Hempstead, Town of Hempstead and several villages in Nassau County.
His water experience comes from projects for Glen Cove, Jericho, Greenlawn and Roslyn water districts. He has served as a designer and project manager for numerous projects for the above clients.
Mr. Barroca has supervised planning and design of subdivisions, preparation of SPEDES permits, filings with NYSDEC, state and county agencies, major commercial and residential developments, site plans and road improvement projects for the Villages of Lynbrook, Roslyn Harbor, Roslyn, Sea Cliff and Brookville, Former Superintendent of Buildings for the Villages of Sea Cliff, Oyster Bay Cove, Muttontown, Malverne, Westbury and Centre Island.
His building construction and structural experience includes projects for the Town of Oyster Bay, City of Glen Cove, and the Villages of Oyster Bay Cove, Malverne, Westbury, Muttontown and Roslyn.

Richard Barbieri
Special Building Department and Engineering Consultant

Mr. Barbieri approaches design tasks a wide variety of experience in his field having worked in the engineering and building department fields for the past 35 years, Mr. Barbieri has been quite fortunate in that his professional employment has encompassed many civil engineering disciplines. He has experience in building construction, structural, road, drainage and site planning. His building construction and structural experience includes projects for various municipalities and private projects. He has served as a designer and project manager for numerous projects for many clients. Mr. Barbieri presently is the Superintendent of Buildings and Department of Public Works for the Village of Roslyn and an Adjunct Professor for Long Island University.

Kenneth W. Sommer, P.E.
Structural Engineering Special Consultant
Summary of Personal Life:
Mr. Sommer has over 30 years of progressively responsible experience and visible achievements in the structural and design engineering industry. His strong project management/analysis and focused leadership with proven technicall acumen, analytical skills, and general management qualifications allow him to consistently deliver projects on time and within budget. Mr. Sommer has a history of improving job productivity, reducing costs, sustaining quality, and enhancing processes.
He has the proven ability to turn around failed/stalled projects and direct multimillion dollar/multi-site projects by maintaining strict project schedules and a commitment to timely delivery.His expert troubleshooting and problem solving strengths are frequently requested to resolve complex issues including developing formulas for several cases of complex load distribution systems, and identifying structural compliance items with Building Code related issues such as cases of interfacing new structures with existing structures. He works well with and understands complex and involved drawings and specifications. He is able to analyze structural column grid systems and implement successful load transfers and connection details. Alterations and additions are a specialty of Mr. Sommer.

Matthew Barroca
Office Manager, Field Inspector, Draftsman and Engineer in Training
Matthew is a graduate of Mineola High School where he graduated on the honor roll with an advanced regents diploma. Matthew was also the captain of the junior volunteer firefighters at the Mineola Fire Department and is now a full member of the Mineola Fire Department. He is attending Nassau Community College to study Engineering Science & Construction Management. He provides assistance in the day to day operations of PR Consulting Engineering and is presently being mentored by the CEO of the company.
Christopher Barroca
Business Consultant
Christopher is a graduate of St. John's University who majored in business management with a 3.25 GPA. As well as being a business consultant, Christopher also works as a estimator for Rite Way Demolition and formerly worked in the emergency room of Winthrop-University Hospital.

 

Nicole Hartlett
Human Resources Manager & Office Clerk
Nicole is a graduate of Mineola High School where she graduated on the high honor roll with a regents diploma. She participated in many activities during her schooling and learned a lot of things that she will carry with her through life. Nicole showed responsibility as she was elected captain twice for the cheer team at mineola high school. Nicole is attending Nassau community college to study Hospitality Business Management. She is presently in training learning various aspects of office operations and management.

 

Jamie Guage
Technical Consultant and Web Designer
Jamie graduated from Kingsborough Community College with an Associates degree in Fine Arts, with a concentration in photography and computer programming. She is self-taught in many parts of the web design field and is a self motivated person presently developing her own web design consultation firm.
